I’m a wife and mom to our little girl who is in heaven. Addalyn Grace was born March 10, 2015 with Trisomy 18 and given a month, at the most, to live. She beat the odds and lived for 26 months and 10 days (she’s been dancing in heaven since May 21, 2017). She taught us so much about love and showed us how broken we really are. This is about my grief journey and learning to live with a piece of my heart missing. God’s grace is what keeps me moving and knowing I’ll see my Addy Grace again. The lightning bug has been a symbol that reminds me of Addy and how she shone bright and pointed others to Christ in her short life. I want my life to be a light for others too, even when life is hard and feels hopeless.
